Ouch! My Joints Ache

I hope you realise that the research and development I have been working on for these last nine years has not been to no avail....I Run so I can give you the benefits of my testbed experience. My Body has been and is a testbed for an increasing number of products that may one day resolve some of the little problems our bodies face as we " the Baby Boomers " reach our full blown maturity. Products such as creams that will take away the aches and pains associated with Arthritis and or Rheumatism....products that will enrich us and allow us to have an active and fullfilling life...This testbed for Rejuvin8 products works hand in hand with David Henderson our Orthomolecular Specialist....One Hour before my race on the Sunday afternoon..David brought me a sample of the product we have been developing to take away the aches and pains that sometimes plague our joints and connective tissues....That I was able to run..and Win with a new Record is testament to that product..and while it will not be available on the market for a little while...IT IS REMARKABLE and I can personally tell you it is what helped me get to the finish line in one piece....The Worlds Automobile manufacturers use the Formula One Circuit as a testbed for products that will ultimately help us to survive on the road...My body is there for YOU...my WORLD TEAM.

Victory Is Sweet Nectar

Well you will have noted from my last Blog that I was competing this weekend in the New South Wales Country Championships at Glendale in Newcastle a suburb about 2 hours north of Sydney. The conditions were extremely difficult...40 degrees heat followed by blustery cold Southerly Winds...on day one...and 35 degrees heat on the Sunday.

What can I say...My World Support Team has helped inspire me to victory again!...On Saturday the conditions were unbelievable....In the 100m final I was competing against Neville Mc.Intyre an International Representative and Finalist in the last World Championships. I got a good start out of the blocks and was able to Win!....into a 4 meters per second head wind....which is kind of like running into a brick wall for 100m. My foot handled it well...you will recall I had recovered from a bruised foot...my shoulder was tender however so much so that after the race I could hardly lift my right arm to shake hands with the other competitors....

On the second day Sunday I was to run in the 200m it was hot and with cross winds....an hour before my race I had a light massage from Chris Mc.Cormick on my Right leg connector hamstring which was a major problem after the 100m on the previous day...I actually had doubts as to whether I would be able to run without creating further problems....After warming up and with discussions with Wayne Luckey my Power Coach it was decided that I would perform....The Gun went and the race was on....Neville Mc.Intyre was on my outside as we hit the turn coming into the home straight....I felt good at this stage and put the power down to try and dislodge him which I was able to do and powered down the straight to win in a New Record!! I was thrilled and immediately thought of the great spirit and inspiration YOU..My World Support Team have been to me....Last night I slept well....Thank You.

My next invitation run will be at the Telstra A Series 200m billed as " The legends of Track & Field " on February 17....Another Day at the Office.

Changing Trains

Do you remember those old Hollywood Cowboy movies or even more recently Back to the Future where the Hero jumps from his horse onto the fast moving train at full gallop?

Changing Physio's is like that and its just what I've done...Not satisfied with the results from my previous Physio I jumped...into the hands of new Physio Michelle Fairbrother yesterday and she has almost had me back on track with one painful treatment....now thats what I call results!

Diagnosis of my injuries are as follows...SHOULDER: Bicipital Tendonitis

ELBOW: Lateral Epicondylitis

FOOT: Inflammation of Tendon over Sesmoid Bones

Yow!!!...The good news is that she believes I will be in form and ready to rock and roll on 27th. and 28th january when I compete in the N.S.W. Country Championships.

Sooooo..stick with me on this...injuries do happen to elite athletes who are as finely tuned as throughbred race horses. You wouldn't want to know how painful this treatment was yesterday...my right arm is bruised badly which Michelle says is Good....but the range of motion has improved greatly.

My training programme has been affected greatly and only time will tell ....still I'm going to run...come hell or high water....The World support Team will soon be able to wear a Limited Edition World Championships T-Shirt which we are working on at the moment. so get in early and indicate your interest in this colourful item by leaving your email in the COMMENT section of the blog. This will enable us to figure out numbers...We will ensure that the pricepoint is very affordable...and will be a real " talking point "

Heading for the therapy pool this evening after training...and going to Sydney to meet with my Orthomolecular Specialist David Henderson Rejuvin8's resident Medico Dr.John Norris to discuss blood test results for Bio Levels...Potassium...Magnesium...etc...etc...

Resolution or Revolution

Funny how many people make a new years Resolution knowing subconsciously that they're going to break it. I think we've all been guilty of that to some degree...whats really needed here is a REVOLUTION not a Resolution.

When planning a REVOLUTION ...Strategy...committment...team work are paramount...All successful REVOLUTIONS in History had the hallmarks of great planning and strategy combined with teamwork. Involve your Partner..your Children...your closest friends..because your REVOLUTION will bring about change...dramatic change.

When we were younger...hey..what the heck..it kind of didn't matter if we broke a New Years resolution or two...there were many more years to come right?....RIGHT!

Now we are the BABY BOOMERS and time is PRESCIOUS...We need to make a difference NOW!....Break an old habit...come on...we all have one...LOVE MORE...LIVE MORE...ENJOY MORE...TREASURE SOMEONE MORE...APPRECIATE MORE..HELP MORE...BELIEVE MORE...GIVE MORE...DO MORE.........DO IT NOW....VIVA LA REVOLUTION....

My New Years REVOLUTION involves plowing headlong into my pet subject....LIVING LONGER. I am currently researching and experimenting with my Orthomolecular Specialist David Henderson and other Rejuvin8 team specialists developing products that will ultimately benefit us all in our quest for living a longer healthier life. I have made this committment to you...MY WORLD TEAM...Join the FOREVER YOUNG REVOLUTION by following my Blog and I will place my body on the anvil of research and development so we can can turn back the clock...you will soon be able to benefit from this exciting developement. Even if you only committ to one year...make it a Fantastic Year.

I would like to leave you with this little wisdom...." To touch a Rainbow...you must first pass through the rain..."" Happy 2007. John...p.s. I did!

Yesterday was a mini-milestone training day for me...first training day since bruising my right foot...Went to the Mingara Athletics track ( my home track ) which incidentally is the fastest track in Australia...The training session involved a Dynamic Warm-up period to test the water so to speak...then ten 100 meter runs on the grass...once again trying not to aggrevate my foot problem...The session went well and today will be a Gym day for me at the 4 in 1 Fitness Club at Erina which is a suburb on the Central coast of New South Wales about 1 hours drive from Sydney.

I have now made the decision to run in the New Zealand Masters Games in Wanganui on the North Island on 10th February as a prelude to travellling to Italy for the World Championships.
This will give me a perspective on the travel and arrangements required...Will probably travel to New Zealand the day before to register and then run in the 100m on the first day and the 200 meteres on the second day. As I have never stepped foot on N.Z soil it will be a pleasant experience.

Soooooo my World Team....look forward to having you with me in Spirit then...to carry me to the finish line...

Of course I will be running in the New south Wales Country Championships on 27th and 28th January...so stay tuned for those...

Meanwhile keep believing in me and I will charge my batteries to deliver the performance required to Win......Be Brilliant....

Fastest Man on The Planet

So this is Christmas...the silly season...over indulgence..various excesses..a little avorice perhaps...even mistletoe tinged with sadness...For some this is the scene and I suppose you may be wondering how I might fit into this picture.

Well yesterday was a " track day " for me..it began at 6.00am when I rise to get ready to face the challenges and opportunities of the day...By 7.00am I have completed my early morning preparation..e.g. I have done my abdominal sets and additional core stability work..taken my daily vitamin supplements and brushed my teeth like a good boy.

Today my 11.00am meeting with Mark Evans ( my brilliant business partner ) was significant. Today I had already recieved many responses to my embryonic Blog..Fabulous..inspiring..encouraging..motivating responses from YOU...MY WORLD TEAM...Messages of love and support have come from the far corners..Sweden..U.S.A...Denmark..Hong Kong..Britain...Ireland...it is wonderful to know YOU are there with me..sharing these moments as I head down the track to the World Championships in Italy.

By mid-day I'm with my Physio Pat Hart..we are looking at a seemingly minor problem...While running across the road...I stood on a small stone that has bruised the ball of my right foot..Yow!

It meant no trackwork this evening...except training on the grass...ten 100m runs..instead of pounding the composition track which would be worse. Hydrotherapy in a pool heated to 32 degrees centigrade will be required over the next few days to try and heal this annoying glitch.
My next comp will be the New South Wales Country Country Champs in Newcastle on the 27th and 28th of January...my foot will have to be ready!

As the founder of Rejuvin8..I realise that there are always excuses for us as " Baby Boomers " to over eat..not exercise etc...Obesity is pandemic...and yesterday I saw a sad example of this. Two grossly overweight people eating masses of donuts at a donut shop... This is NOT the way to live a long and healthy life...but who will educate them.....I saw this and trained harder...Life is too prescious.
