On the Week end if you've been following my Blog...I ran in the New South Wales Relay Championships...It was a Fantastic Week End....the Weather was Beautiful and the Atmosphere was Brilliant...Hundreds of Athletes from all over the State were there to Enjoy...to Re-knew Friendships...and to stand in Awe at some of the performances...Nick Bromley (Australian Commonwealth Games Rep ) had a fantastic run against David Geddes ( Australian Olympic Rep.Athens ) in the 4x400m relay...it was a great race...
You know the great thing about Relay's?....its Team...everyone is cheering for their Team...there is a tremendous sense of comraderie..Everyone is involved...the people watching are as excited in cheering as those participating....
Imagine what this is going to be like when the World Masters Games kicks off in October in 2009!!!!....Australia does not know it yet...but this is going to be without doubt the biggest sporting spectacular to hit our shores since the Olympics of 2000...Next year will see a full publicity onslaught by the New South Wales Government...the Department of Tourism for N.S.W..and of course the World Masters Games Organizing Committee....In concert they will produce something the World really needs right now...a sense of Coming Together...Uniting...Rejoicing!
Yes...2009 is going to be one of those Golden Years...keep posted on the Blog and my website to keep up to date....
